The work we do is business, and achievement is often
incremental. Ours is a pragmatic and not an
ideological quest. Not for us the label,
Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative or
any other. For us, politics- - government, is a
means to an end: a level playing field for all,
prosperity for those who can achieve it. In
lobbying, we hold the position that "half a loaf"
is still good bread and the rest of the loaf may be
there for the taking at another time. On the
other hand, ideological lobbying and political
action is an all or nothing proposition and an
"all or nothing" philosophy is all too often a
loser's bet. It is an avenue that, for business, is a
dead end. |
